Brief Description:
Lone Star Honor Flight is a Montgomery County community effort to send all WWII veterans to Washington, DC to see the WWII Memorial. Nationally, there are 3,000,000 survivors and we are losing them at the rate of 1,200 to 1,500 per day. Montgomery County is the home to about 2,500 of these brave men and women. Packet pick up will be on Monday(race day) starting at 7am. 1K Kids Run ($10) will start at about 7:45am w/registration starting at 7:00am. The 1K is a 3 loop course. The entire loop can be seen from the starting line. 4K Fun Run/Walk ($15) registration starts at 7:00am w/ run/walk starting at about 8:30 am. Jogging strollers, strollers, and dogs are allowed and are encouraged to start at the back. 4K Overall Male and Female will receive $50. Other individual prizes for both 1K and 4K will be given at the end of the 4K.
